Freelance Jobs

There are hundreds of sites on the web today that promise to offer freelance jobs for writers, designers, programmers, photographers and more. Unfortunately, however, they are not always as appealing as they seem.

For the professional freelancer, this presents something of a problem. You need to find a source of regular freelance work, but you don't want to risk wasting your time on dead-end resources. John Williams found himself in this position.

"I looked everywhere for freelance jobs," he says. "Some sites promised the earth and delivered very little. Others were more realistic and proved useful. What I can say is that there is work to be found on the Internet. You just need to know where you can look successfully for freelance jobs.

John had also tried marketing in the offline world, but this proved to be more difficult. Costs were much higher, and the whole process was much more hit and miss. He found that he was mailing out hundreds of letters just to get a few replies, with no guarantee that any of them would lead to real work.

So after following this approach for a while. John decided that his money could be better invested searching for work on the Internet. This was much more effective. A few searches brought up a whole range of potential projects, which he was then able to apply for directly. He didn't have to waste time going round in circles and getting nowhere.

After looking in a range of different places for freelance work, John finally settled on Freelance Work Exchange. As well as being helpful and informative, this site brought him lots of potential work, and he soon found he was picking up jobs.

"It's a great resource," he says. "I have found enough work through this site to keep me busy for months. I am really glad I took the time and trouble to sign up."
