John Paddy was tired of looking for
freelance editor jobs in the trade magazines, and getting little by way
of results for his trouble. He had been involved in the business for
many years, and had an excellent track record to fall back on. However,
he couldn't seem to get the kind of job he wanted.
"It was very frustrating, very
frustrating indeed," he says. "I had lots of experience of freelance
editing jobs, working with newspapers, magazines, TV studios and even
online businesses. However, it seemed to make no difference. I just
couldn't seem to get a job anywhere with anyone. I was really at my wits
end."
Just when he was about to give up, John
thought he would give the Internet a try as a last resort. He didn't
hold out much hope, as he thought that all the good job sites had
disappeared in the dot com crash a few years ago. But when he looked on
the Internet, he got a very pleasant surprise. There were more freelance
editor jobs than he expected.
Although many sites had
disappeared, or had simply become forgotten relics, others were still
doing a great job of finding freelance editor jobs. He looked at a
couple of the best ones, and decided to sign up with
Freelance
Work Exchange.
It wasn't long before his investment of
just $2.95 started to pay dividends. First he got a freelance editor job
with a large regional newspaper, and then he found other work with other
organizations.
"Signing up with this site was the best
decision of my career," he says. "It made a huge difference. Within a
few days, I was getting leads for projects, and within two weeks I had
picked up a substantial project. A great result all round."
Try signing up for a week's trial
membership and see how you go in terms of getting results. You are
likely to be pleasantly surprised.
